Western Red Cedar Shutters  
Probably the finest timber for use in making plantation shutters.   A stunning grain together with exceptional straightness and light weight combine in this one timber.
Although more expensive than other timbers at the raw lumber stage, its suitability for shutters means there is less work in the preparation and less wastage, therefore we are able to offer this fine product at just a small premium. Available oiled, laquered or painted, these shutters may well last a lifetime.

Painted or Stained Wood Shutters    
Wooden shutters are available in several different timbers - basswood, paulownia and poplar - with various finishes. Light in weight and like all shutters they offer excellent insulation properties. Available in several different shades of white and off-white together with many stains, together with the option of custom colour these shutters are versatile, practical and stunning. Shutters can be fitted to almost all shapes of window and door.

MDF Shutters     
These shutters are tough, wipe-clean and economical. This product has an engineered wood core for strength and stability, this is then wrapped with a small amount of MDF and coated with a hard wearing polymer coating. You do need to be aware that the panels are heavier though, so they are not as versatile as the more expensive alternatives. However when it comes to controlling shade, light, privacy and insulation all of our shutters perform extremely well.

We can either measure and install, or measure for you to install. You don't have to decide which until you have spoken to our senior fitter/surveyor - we want you to be delighted with your new shutters and we will do all we can to ensure this is the case. Our service of measuring with whoever is fitting the shutters is designed to assist builders, decorators and DIY competent people to gain the benefit of these great shutters at a reduced cost. Many installations are extremely straightforward and require few specialist skills, if one has the experience and expertise to order the correct items in the first place. Our experienced surveyor / fitter will bring samples showing the framing options and discuss fixing points and other details with whoever is going to install the shutters. It is important that the person who will be installing the shutters is present for this meeting, unless we have worked with you before.
